Dato’ Yap emphasized that none of the successful businessman’s achievements are from luck. Instead, it is through precise planning, and constant adaptation to different situation. As the decision maker of the company, it is necessary to have a macroscopic thinking in order to allow the business to grow and expand further.

From his point of view, business is like leasing to the employee and let them manage it. This not only to inspire them to be more responsible, also to allow himself to have more room in thinking, to seize every opportunity.

Every morning, he will spend about three hours in exercise, going through various media channels, to keep update on the latest trend and information, to maintain flexible in thinking and reaction.

To the employees, Dato’ Yap is a person who keep his words. He will fulfil his promises that he made to it. Dato’ Yap is not only an activist, but he is also a humble person who treats his employees as a family.

“The culture of the company is playing a very important role, and of course besides money, what I mean is I will keep my words to the promises that I made, and sincerity is the key to keep all employees together as a family. I won’t mistreat those who contribute to the company, I will share the success outcome with them. This is what I promised and I will make sure I’m keeping it. Integrity, is very important to me.”

With humble beginning, Dato’ Yap went to Japan to pursue his dream of success. Despite the expenses been cheated, he got the chance to get himself involve into the Special Painting Effects industry in Japan.

After his success in Japan, Dato’ Yap came back to Malaysia to further pursue his career. “I never thinking to come back, I was a key leader in the company at that time. However, due to no increment in my pay, I was unsatisfied and hence I decided to come back to Malaysia to restart my career with the saving.”

Dato’ Yap started his business with a street stall in Klang Valley, to sell costume jewellery. With a variety choice of jewellery and reasonable price, soon his products became popular. Thereafter, he introduces the Special Painting Effects Technology which he learnt from Japan. With the good quality of services, Dato’ Yap managed to gain his first pot of gold from it.

Dato’ Yap believed that a group of companies must have multi-line operation criterion, and a team of people who drive the company. Each team member has their own duties, and they are elite. And yet, not to be forgotten the backend support team. A mutually supportive and efficient management, it can manage the business of the group of companies effectively and to be thrive.
